The CQC and Island House

Patients may have seen in the media recently, that all dental practices are shortly going to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).  At Island House we are up-to-date with the registration process, and four members of the team recently attended a seminar to gain information in all that is required for registration.

The CQC was brought in by the Government to ensure that patients receive high quality care across all areas of their experience of healthcare.  We have found the process a very useful exercise in reviewing current protocols that we have in place and are confident that our aim of providing the highest levels of patient care is achieved.

Exciting Changes at Island House!

Island House Dental Care will shortly be commencing major work updating our Sterilisation Rooms to provide our patients with the highest levels of cross-infection services.  We are investing in a completely new layout of the rooms, with new equipment to comply to the highest level we can in the latest cross-infection guidelines.

Extra to this, we are also over-hauling our computer system with new equipment in order to provide quicker and better services to our patients.

I am sure our patients will appreciate our commitment to investing back into the Practice to ensure the highest levels of care, although these changes behind-the-scenes are not always directly noticeable.

We are working hard to ensure that as little inconvenience is caused to our patients as possible, but apologise if patients notice on-going building work over the upgrading period.
